Las Vegas Strip closes due to coronavirus pandemic…

My husband Noel and I took a walk down the Las Vegas Strip to get some fresh air and to check out the closed casinos.  Our heartfelt prayers go out to all of our friends who depend on the many resorts, restaurants, and entertainment venues for employment. Most have been laid off and will need to figure out how they are going to survive these next few months while Vegas is shut down.  We will try to support the businesses by ordering take out, Amazon prime deliveries, and staying HOME to prevent the spreading of this awful virus.  I just pray that the health care workers get what they need in the way of supplies, praise, and rest when they need it.  Here are some photos of this historic closing of the strip:

CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 – You would “dig” this trade show…

We are in the throws of the Coronavirus pandemic scare and it is amazing to me that over 150,000 folks showed up for CONEXPO-CON here in Las Vegas – so I had to attend. My sister thought I was crazy for going but it was a risk I was willing to take.  How often in my almost 60 years of life would I ever be able to see HUGE cranes, dirt diggers, excavating equipment, and hunky construction guys in one environment??? I wanted to invite my single friend Judy to come chug-a-lug free cocktails at the IFPE hall – it was unbelievable.  Everyone was having a great time wandering around the Las Vegas Convention center looking at the massive cranes, drills, construction machinery, asphalt mixers, etc.  I am now officially a JOHN DEERE fan (their booth was over 38,000 square feet) and I even bought my new baby grandson a JD onesie!  Check out my photos.  Happy hour at CONEXPO-CON was truly a blast!
