I have to admit that I love casinos. During the past several months of our Vegas COVID lockdown I never gave up visiting any open casino and have been so impressed with the safety measures they have had to install to make gambling safe. I was not allowed to take photos the other day in the Cosmopolitan but you would not believe the Plexiglas dividers at all of the tables, the masks on everyone, the temperature checks at most of the casino entrances and the “every other slot machine” social distancing. Casino restaurants are open – even our favorite Westgate EDGE steakhouse has bartender Mikey pouring his famous cocktails and server RAYMOND dishing out fantastic Chef Steven’s filets. I made my friends come with me to the brand new Circa which opened October 28, 2020. I have met co-owner Derek Stevens before but for some strange reason he did not invite me to the grand opening VIP party so I was left to figure out a way to scam my own VIP experience…lucky for me we met THALIA, the gorgeous concierge in the main hotel area and she gave us a personalized tour. We had cocktails by the 3 level pool and could watch a myriad of sports games at the outdoor cabana/lounge chairs. WARNING: you will be scared to death by the ridiculously long escalator ride up to the Stadium pool area. My friend Jena had to close her eyes and hang on for deal life and we searched for an elevator but had to take it back down – YIKES ! We had a great dinner at the Asian 8 East restaurant – seriously we tried almost everything on the menu…see my photos below:
