Have you noticed that the smell of pot is everywhere in Vegas these days??? You won’t have to get high to visit the new Vegas amusement venue called Area15 http://area15.com. Don’t worry they have plenty of good food and booze for those of us who always have to have a cocktail in hand…and my niece and nephew loved it. I have to say even our “older” husbands had a great time. By the way, check out the virtual driving range at Five Iron Golf and the flight simulator Birdly for our two favorite activities. Right now there is no charge for admission and you can pre purchase tickets for the activities on your smart phone in advance or as you wander around the building taking in the sights. On my recent visit the Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart was not yet open but there is a great article on the grand opening by Geoff Carter in the Las Vegas Weekly Magazine http://lasvegasweekly.com. He describes it as a “52,000 square foot immersive and interactive art installation.” You really have to see it to believe it!

According to Geoff the 200,000 square foot building that encompasses Area15 is a cooperative effort between NY based firms Beneville Studios and Fisher Brothers and it is devoted to unconventional dining (love love the tomahawk steak and cocktails at the BEAST restaurant), entertainment, retail and art.
